Disaster Recovery Planning
If your data's lost, how long
before your business is?
In a data-driven age, it's hard to imagine what could cripple a company more than to lose its data. A University of Wisconsin study agrees, stating that 72 percent of companies that lose their data either never re-open or go out of business less than two years later.
The list of disasters - both natural and man-made - we've recently witnessed is a long one, indeed. 911, Hurricane Ike, Hurricane Katrina, wildfires and earthquakes in California. While the list of potential disasters is equally long. And sobering.
If you value your company and the hard work you've put into it, a three-tiered data backup plan is essential:
- Multiple internal disks
- Network Attached Storage or some other separate device
- Offsite backup with BackUpLynx
The goal is to minimize any downtime and maximize your data's availability.
After determining what data is crucial for backup, we create a plan for you. Then we test it, automate it, schedule backups, and even run mock disaster scenarios. For mission critical clients, whose data must be available 24/7, we can design entire manuals on how to re-start.
It may not be an issue today. But the unfortunate fact is, data loss will eventually occur, whether through internal equipment failure or outside events. Planning ahead will make sure it doesn't become an issue tomorrow.
We would like to express our appreciation for a job well done by IT Xpress in
helping us relocate all employees to remote working environments. A special
thanks for their patience and understanding of all issues involved.
They didn't quite until the job was done and that included many after hours
services.”Watermark
