The IT Xpress Story
Justis Kivari was fresh out of school and trying to fund his dream car when he landed a tech job at a Tennessee technology company. Although he knew little about computers at the time, Justis was a fast learner, and soon he was solving complicated technology problems. After a couple years working with the same firm, Justis decided to move out on his own, and within a couple of months he was servicing 6 clients out of a tiny two room, one bathroom office. Soon, another colleague joined him, and within a year they were servicing so many clients that the only free space in their office was small path that led to the bathroom! As they continued to grow, they opened their first retail location, and two years later a second location was needed. By 2006, Justis’ company was so successful that the Sommet Group, a provider of human resources and payroll services to small businesses, purchased the company and named it IT Xpress. The Sommet Group realized their clients’ needs for technology support, and it was clear to them that Justis’ shop was providing the best IT service to the middle Tennessee area.Today, IT Xpress has become middle Tennessee’s preeminent technology service provider. With 15 highly trained technicians at 3 stand-alone stores and 2 kiosks in Dollar General Markets, IT Xpress continues Justis’ tradition of providing clients with the best technology service available. In addition to servicing virtually any machine, including those that other shops deem “irreparable,” IT Xpress also builds customized machines and provides server and network service. IT Xpress also boasts BackupLynx, a best-in-class remote backup program that keeps data secure and safe, as well as EMGComm, a telecom technology company that services both businesses and consumers. Today, IT Xpress is middle Tennessee’s answer to any computer problem.
And yes, Justis did eventually buy that new car.
